Ready

My name is Opemipo Aikomo.
I started out in uni as a graphic designer and stumbled into a decade-long career building digital products. I’ve designed and launched pioneering startups in Nigeria like Devcenter — a community for developers, Tix — a platform for events, and Sendcash — a crypto-powered money transfer app.
Most notably I co-founded Paystack, a software company acquired by Stripe in 2020. I’ve led design at Paystack since 2016 and contributed significantly to the company culture, brand and merchant experience. I’ve built a dozen products, operated multiple teams and helped scale the company from one room to six countries.
Set
In 2020, I founded wuruwuru, a production studio for independent art. We've produced an online comic, two animated short films, a collectible board game, a digital archive and a digital book. Our projects have been honoured internationally and featured on publications like The Guardian and Contemporary And.
My girlfriend and I are also building Main Squeeze, an e-Commerce brand. We’re learning how to design, market and distribute a consumer product globally. Our first product (compression socks) will launch this summer in the US and UK.
Finally, I run a boutique technology studio called Helloworld. We offer affordable yet high quality digital services to cultural platforms like 16/16 and Tix. We also develop new technology talent through internships.
Across these projects, the unifying theme is to bring creative ideas to life. To do this efficiently, we’re running under one umbrella: Moonlight.
Go
Effectively, Moonlight is a venture studio in development. As we go, we'll develop a system for launching and operating sustainable businesses.
This blog is a home for these stories. Twice a month, I’ll share juicy updates, detailed case studies and behind-the-scenes access to ongoing projects.
